CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY
When thinking of Hypnosis, it's an unfortunate fact that for many people their immediate association is to stage hypnotists and the acts they have their volunteers perform. However, Clinical Hypnotherapy is about helping, not humiliating, people.
So what is Hypnosis?
It is a state of altered awareness and it is a very natural state that we all go into and out of many times each day. When you are daydreaming, completely engrossed in a book or movie, and that state just before you drift off to sleep and wake up, are all examples of hypnotic states.
What issues can Clinical Hypnotherapy help with?
Many clients initially go to a Clinical Hypnotherapist for assistance to stop smoking, lose weight or stop nail biting. Hypnotherapy is also used to overcome fears and phobias, improve confidence, help reduce anxiety, help manage pain, manage chronic health conditions such as chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, and treat numerous other everyday issues that affect our lives and happiness. Hypnotherapy is a useful tool to release old baggage and identify blocks and old ties that are still holding us back from being all that we can be.
Can Hypnotherapy help me?
If you are ready and willing to make the necessary changes, then it is likely that Hypnotherapy can help. It is important to remember, however, that no Hypnotherapist can make you do something you don't really want to do. For example, they can't force you to quit smoking if deep down inside you don't want to stop. The hypnotherapist is there to facilitate the session and guide you towards that point of change but ultimately the choice to change or remain the same, lies with you.
